Solicitor – Dispute Resolution

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Litigation Solicitor/ Legal Executive to take over the running of a busy domestic / commercial Litigation department on a permanent basis. The work is varied, with a mixture of Claimant and Defendant work across a broad spectrum of Litigation. The role requires a candidate with experience of Litigation in both County Court and the High Court.

The Role

The LLP would be interested in hearing from applicants who have worked in a Dispute Resolution department. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate their organisational skills, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a team environment, whilst managing client expectation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to Management Board: Attendance and Contribution
  • Oversee and advise other members of department
  • Oversee and ensure maintenance of work and fee income
  • Report on performance
  • Liaise with client both in person or remote meetings and in telephone discussions
  • Receiving and issuing correspondence mail from/to the client, on behalf of the client and third parties
  • Time recording work undertaken
  • Attending outside appointment to include court hearings, client visits etc. as required
  • Acting on Instructions and reporting to Manging Partner
  • Generate new work for department and Firm

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Key Performance Indicator
  • Adherence to Quality and Work Management Systems
  • Achievement of Targets and development and marketing of department evaluation.
  • Flexibility in support of other members of staff
  • Attendance at required training courses
  • To maintain Lexcel accreditation including completion of file reviews, CAR’s and to follow procedures for case/file management.
  • Attendance at office in accordance with contractual terms
