The Role
The LLP would be interested in hearing from applicants who have worked or are currently working in residential conveyancing who are looking for a position in which they would manage and run their own smaller caseload. Â The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their organisational skills, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a team environment, whilst managing client expectation.
Key Responsibilities
- To deal with client cases from initial instruction to completion under minimal supervision.
- To liaise with client via email, telephone and in person.
- To receive and issue correspondence/mail from/to the client, estate agents instructed on behalf of the client and third parties.
- To time record all work undertaken.
- To attend outside appointments and training courses as required.
- To report to and act on instruction from the head of department.
- To generate new business for the department and the firm.
- To adhere to Quality and work management Systems
- To achieve Key Performance Indicator targets, development targets and evaluate marketing of the Residential team.
- To be flexible in supporting other members and undertaking other areas of work within the department as needed.
- To maintain Lexcel accreditation and follow procedures for case/file management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within a busy Residential Conveyancing team
- An ability to run sale and purchase files with minimal supervision from initial instruction to completion including undertaken title investigation and raising enquiries and preparing all reports required for the client, to then deal with exchange of contracts and completion
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team
- Familiarity with the Lexcel accreditation including file reviews, corrective actions and procedures for case/file management. (desirable)
