Marc studied his undergraduate in Law at Anglia Ruskin University, he then went on to complete his MSc in Law and the LPC while working as a conveyancer in Birmingham. Having also completed the SQE, Marc qualified in September 2024 and continued working as a residential property solicitor before making the move to corporate and commercial law.

Robyn studied at the University of Huddersfield, undertaking a masters of law and practice, combining the traditional LLB law degree and the LPC in one.
On completing her training contract at a regional firm in Northampton, she qualified as a solicitor in April 2019.
Robyn started her NQ life in corporate law at Franklins, before having her little boy and moving to a top 100 law firm in Oxford.

Outside of work, Robyn explores Switzerland’s mountains, lakes and hidden trails with her family all while plotting her next attempt at the legendary Devizes to Westminster race.
Tya studied her undergraduate in law at Oxford Brookes University and then completed her LLM in international law and governance at Durham University. Tya trained in litigation at an international law firm in Birmingham, whilst self-studying for the SQE, but subsequently moved into corporate and commercial law. Tya qualified as a solicitor in May 2025 and has continued her work in corporate law.
Tya assists with a wide range of corporate transactions, ranging from mergers and acquisitions to company restructures. Tya can also assist clients with internal company matters, such as partnership or shareholder agreements and share schemes. Tya’s clients range from small businesses to larger corporate groups, tailoring her approach to the specific needs of each client.
Outside of work, Tya is an avid foodie and loves to travel.
Amy graduated from the University of Leicester with a First Class LLB Law Degree, and is now involved in the following in her role as Paralegal at Franklins Solicitors:

Outside of work Amy enjoys travelling, going out for food with friends on the weekends and running.
Andrea is a partner in the Firm and Head of Business Services, responsible for the teams specialising in Corporate Services, Commercial Property, Employment, Commercial and Intellectual Property Rights.
Although Andrea’s specific area of specialism and particular interest is mergers, acquisitions and disposals, her area of corporate practice is diverse and includes shareholders agreements, share schemes, company re-structures, joint ventures, and company compliance and advice. Andrea’s clients range from individual shareholders and owner-managed businesses, to large national and international companies. Andrea would describe her approach to working with her clients as being based on the provision of a flexible, approachable and client-driven service.
Outside of Andrea’s corporate practice in the firm, she sits on the board of directors of Northampton Town Centre Limited, which is responsible for implementing the business plan, vision and objectives for Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement District. In 2016, Andrea was awarded Commercial Lawyer of the Year for the Midlands by Acquisition International and in 2017Â she was awarded Partner of the Year by Corporate Vision Magazine.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys running and dreams to one day tackle the Great Wall of China marathon.

Andrea manages the whole business services team, which includes commercial property, corporate services, intellectual property and employment law, however in her role as Solicitor she is also involved in the team looking after licensing applications. The team has over 20 years of legal experience.

Simon is the Firm’s Managing Partner, having succeeded Michael Franklin (one of the co-founders of the Firm) following Michael’s retirement. Simon attended Coventry University, graduating with a degree in Law and then undertook his Law Society examinations at Chancery Lane in London. He joined the firm in 1988 and qualified as a solicitor in 1990.
Simon became a partner with Franklins in 1993 specialising at that time in all aspects of commercial and corporate law. This has placed him in a strong position to offer family law advice in disputes involving privately owned companies.
Working closely with the Franklins Business Services team, Simon has developed the firm’s commercial and corporate offering in to one of the most highly regarded locally, acting for owner managed businesses through to large corporate organisations. In addition, Simon oversees our relationship with a number of banking institutions for whom the firm regularly acts.
As Managing Partner, Simon works closely alongside the Chief Financial Officer, Alison Gee, in developing the strategy for the continued development of the firm.
Christopher is a Commercial Services Solicitor and Associate Partner at Franklins Solicitors LLP specialising in insolvency, contracts, dispute resolution and intellectual property. He joined Franklins in September 2005 having attended and graduated from The University of Reading and The College of Law in Guildford. Upon completing his 2 year Training Contract with the firm he remained with the practice upon his qualification as a Solicitor in September 2007 and became an Associate Partner in January 2012. Having gone through this journey, he is involved in the recruitment and mentoring of our future legal stars, including our Trainee Solicitors.
Within his role Christopher has amassed the following expertise and work profile:
- Insolvency law including acting for insolvency practitioners and litigation funders.
Notable cases include successfully defending an appeal to the High Court regarding a County Court’s decision to refrain from setting aside a statutory demand and obtaining a £7.5 million settlement from directors in respect of a misfeasance claim.
- Drafting and advising on commercial agreements including complex contract negotiations; trading terms and conditions; software development, maintenance, integration and licence agreements; franchise agreements; commercial agency and distribution agreements; outsourcing agreements; and internet and e-commerce terms of business including compliance with consumer protection, data protection and privacy legislation.
Principal areas of speciality include acting for clients in the information technology, manufacturing and recruitment sectors.
- Dispute resolution and litigation including conduct of actions from initial letter of claim, through to multi-track trial and High Court appeal.
Principal areas of speciality include breach of contract cases as well as indemnity and compensation cases under the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993.
- Intellectual property advice and assistance in respect of application processes, enforcement and commercialisation.
Principal areas of speciality include advising upon trademarks, copyright, passing off actions, confidential information and domain name abuse.
