Georgia qualified as a Solicitor in September 2024 (non-practicing) and later obtained her Practising Certificate in January 2025 after having completed her training contract at her previous law firm.  Prior to her training contract, Georgia completed her LLB Law at the University of Bristol, graduating with a 2.1 and subsequently, completed her LPC at the University of Westminster, graduating with a Distinction.

After completing her training and prior to joining Franklins, Georgia also gained experience working as an HR Coordinator at a city law firm, giving her vital insight into employment law from the perspective of HR professional within a global company.

Georgia works closely with our Head of Employment, Sara Marshall, and the rest of the Employment team acting for both employers and employees on a range of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Georgia specialises in particular advising employers in respect of their employment contracts and staff handbooks, having particular regard to whether they are compliant with Section 1 Employment Rights Act 1996. Georgia understands the importance of employers complying with this requirement, particularly to allow the employer and employee understand each other’s obligations and expectations at the very start of their employment relationship and to ensure the employee is receiving key information which they are rightly entitled to.

Georgia further specialises in advising employers and employees in respect of grievance and disciplinary processes, as well as reviewing and updating such policies themselves.

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending her time cooking and trying out new restaurants in her local area.

Thomas holds an LLM (Hons) in International Energy Law from Nottingham Trent University (2016–17), an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Liverpool (2005–08), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law (2010–11).

Outside of work, Thomas enjoys golf and is a member of Coventry Hearsall Golf Club. Thomas is also a proud Fulham FC member and follows the team closely throughout the season. Thomas also has a keen interest in Formula 1 and has long supported the Red Bull Racing team, drawn to their precision, innovation, and competitive edge.

Charlotte completed her undergraduate law degree at Nottingham Trent University in 2023, she then returned to the University to complete the Legal Practice Course. She completed the course in the summer of 2024 also gaining a Masters qualification. Charlotte is aspiring to qualify as a solicitor.

Charlotte joined the Firm in October 2024 as a Paralegal in the Employment Team.

Sara has over 27 years of experience in Employment Law and qualified as a Lawyer in May 2009.

Sara is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is passionate about Employment Law.

Sara acts for both employers and employees, on contentious and non-contentious matters to provide simple straightforward and expert advice tailored to the clients’ needs on a wide range of employment related issues.

Sara acts for employers and her HR knowledge is extremely useful on advising on the lifecycle of the employee through contracts of employment and policies, disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and redundancy, negotiating and settling claims with a settlement agreement and defending claims against them in an Employment Tribunal.

Sara acts for employees, frequently giving advice on settlement agreements, ensuring that employees understand their rights and achieve the best outcome and compensation they are entitled to. She advises employees on disciplinary and grievances in the workplace and on bringing a claim against their employers. Sara understands that bringing a claim against an employer can be incredibly stressful and daunting experience for an employee and her warm and supportive approach is comforting for clients giving them confidence in the process and the steps involved.
